Early signs

Dogs rarely cry out with arthritis. Instead they get up slowly, hesitate before jumping into the car, lick at joints or become grumpy when touched.

Some dogs simply stop doing things they used to love. That's often pain, not age.

Small changes at home

Rugs on slippery floors, a ramp for the car and a thick, supportive bed all help. Raise food and water bowls for big dogs.

Keeping your dog slim is the most effective thing you can do for their joints.

How we can help

We'll examine your dog's joints and talk about their daily life. Modern pain relief is safe for most older dogs when monitored with blood tests.

We also offer physiotherapy referrals and joint supplements, and we review comfort regularly.
